“I was only going to love my dad, if he got better.” God convicted Rick that he was withholding grace and forgiveness from his father, but God had not withheld His own grace and forgiveness from Rick. Consider Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
